Lets finally admit that Michele Bachmann was right

You all remember Michele (one 'l") Bachmann.... formerly the craziest Congressman in the last 50 years...although I have to admit Louie Goehmert is giving her a run for her money, but after all he is from Texas.

Michele once said, much to the chagrin of 99% of America that Congress should be investigated by the media to see who really loves America. Well, it looks like ol' One L was right as Slate points out here.

America's Favorite Seditionist

President Obama says Republicans are undermining his authority in negotiations with other countries. He gives several examples. One is the letter from 47 Republican senatorsadvising Iran not to trust Obama’s promises in a nuclear deal. Another is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s warning to foreign leaders that Obama’s domestic opponents won’t cooperate in any climate change plan he approves. The last straw was an allegation on Thursday from Sen. John McCain, the GOP’s 2008 presidential nominee, that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is lying about the terms of the Iran nuclear deal and that Americans should instead believe the contrary account given by Iran’s dictator.

And now we learn that Republicans by a 2-1 margin would prefer we spend our blood and treasure in support of a foreign government rather than the good ol' US of A.

Yes, we definitely support Israel as we should but the wingnut love of anyone other than Obama is a bit much. It wasnt too long ago when many on the right were sniffing Putin's jockstrap.

Lets call it what it is... Sedition. And I hope that Madam President in 2017 doesn't stand for it and starts prosecuting these Congressmen who seem to hate America.

Good times at the NRA Convention

NRA convention goers got just what they were looking for in Nashville. An awesome salespitch and complete denial of reality so they can sell you more guns thanks to the likes of ammosexuals like Wayne "they are coming to kill us in our sleep" LaPierre and new huckster Steve Tarani who went to new heights to sell guns.

The street signs suddenly went from English to Arabic. There wasn’t a single English word on any shop or any street sign. And in fact, these little yellow signs were posted all along the edges. Jeremy said to me, ‘this is it. We don’t go past this line.’ And I said to Jeremy, ‘what do you mean? You guys are Detroit Metro. You’re the SWAT team. You can go anywhere you want. What if you get a call over there?’ He said ‘this is it, it’s hazardous for our team if we go past this line.

Yeah, thats right Steve, Detroits finest finest won't go into parts of the city because they are frightened. Then there is this....

Dearborn, Michigan is not the only place that these settlements exist. They are spread out over the country in various cities. There’s an estimate of over 5,000 known terrorist cells in the United States. However our most persistent and significant threat, right now, to us here today this morning, is the homegrown violent extremists. 

Really Steve???? And of course all of the threats Americans face on a daily basis right here in America is enough to make any grown man cower in the closest corner in spite of the fact that crime in America is at a 40 year low. That's right folks...ignore the facts but be sure to check out the new high capacity magazines on the way out...

Steve went on to warn us:

“It’s possible that at least 20 percent of what comes over that border — that’s a big number, guys — is Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Ethiopian al shabaab, known gang members and supports of the cartel,” 

Thats right Steve. Its also possible that at least 40% are magical ponies with the remainder being an assortment of elves, trolls and magical fairies.
